Quick Tomato Sauce

Cook in 4 qt water with 1 T salt.
1 lbs pasta
Saute until golden brown, ~5 min.
2 T butter
1/4 c grated onion
1/2 t salt
1/4 t dried oregano
Cook until fragrant, ~30 sec.
2 cloves garlic
  • Add, bring to a simmer over high.
  • Reduce heat to med-low.
  • Simmer 10 min.
28 oz crushed tomatoes
1/4 t sugar
Add, off heat.
2 T basil, chopped
1 T extra virgin olive oil
