Baked Wild Rice

  • Oven to 375°, middle rack.
Spread dry rice in a 8x8 glass baking dish.
1 1/2 c wild rice
  • Bring to boil in covered saucepan. Cover pan to avoid excess water loss.
  • Pour over rice.
  • Tightly cover baking dish with double layer of foil.
  • Bake until tender and no water remains, 70-80 min.
3 cups water
2 t butter
3/4 t salt
  • Uncover, fluff with fork, re-cover.
  • Let stand 10 min.
